Pit dug near shooting cracks that ran from the Hourglass deep persistent slab avalanche that occurred naturally sometime on Sunday Dec 11. Avalanche occurred on a NE aspect with shooting cracks than ran up to 1000' into N/NW terrain.

Pit dug adjacent to previous pits in this area. Just below ridgeline in BTL terrain. Whumpf and collapse while stepping into pit off of skis.
