Clouds lifted while we were digging pits and the Bridger ridge became visible.

There have been above average temperatures and a lack of new snow over the last week. Boot Pen: Full; Ski Pen: 22cm

PS/PF: 23cm/78cm HSW: 219mm No whomphing or cracking was observed during approach. The snowpack was deeper on the right side of our pit where the PSTs were performed. It was about 108cm deep there.

Almost no temperature gradient across profile.

Rutschblock Test caused a non-planar block movement Ski Penetration Test: 30cm, Boot Penetration Test: 90cm, Pole Penetration Test: Soft, new snow on hard crust with facets beneath. Shovel Shear Tests: did not test for shear strength, so all scores were listed as "moderate"
