Pit dug with Nikki Champion and Collin Richards. Dug adjacent to triggered avalanche from control work from previous day. Crown from previous days work was filled back in and control work morning of pit did not trigger another avalanche on this slope. Slope skiers left was triggered with AB on this same layer of facets above a MFcr. Melt forms at 95-119cm from ground most likely from rain event.

Willow N 9410

Pit w/ Nat Grainger and Robby Young. Similar location to pit from 2022.12.10. NDL compressed down from 70cm from ground to 48cm from ground. Rounding facets. ECTX- took a lot more to get the NDL to break. Once it broke it was a clean propagation. GCS of 7

Humpy Peak N side

Even though this pit did not have a fracture across the whole column in the PWL, this pit was below an avalanche on that layer maybe 4 days old, and there was another avalanche very nearby maybe a day old on this layer as well.
