Start of season snowpit. New snowpack less than 36 hrs old. Very strong snow temp gradient but only minor signs of facet development thus far.

Snowpit dug in below treeline terrain. Good overnight refreeze with clear skies, softening by late morning. Test results today showing more stable results than 2 days ago in same area.
