Good Stratigraphy on side wall where I got my hand hardness and grain types. The back test wall had remnants of an explosive at around 80cm that left hard ice formations I was unable to cut through with my snow saw. The CT I did record was however fully isolated.

I triggered a slide in Brucellosis on a road cut above Little Calf. A storm slab broke on a layer of facets and ran to the ground. I didn’t have a crystal card or thermometer with me at the time and I am still working on my pit technique. However, I figured it would be useful to pass along given the really poor stability test results. I have pictures if you’re interested.

Assess impact of skier traffic on the weak base layer. Snow pack is thin (skied off to ground in places, depth up to 60 cm in general).
