Hyalite Peak

We dug two pits on different aspects and decided Hyalite Peak was acceptable for conditions. The new snow seemed to be bonding well with the older/firmer snow.Wind locally redirecting through the drainage, coming from the NE, prevailing winds coming from the SW. Wind loading began around around 1200-1300. Minor cornice growth and minor cornice sloughing. Cornice sloughs only ran about 100' downhill and only affected the top 10-20 cm of new snow.

Hells/Jack Cone

Possibly dug on a fumerole feature. At least expected different structure and not as warm/moist. However we dug several hundred feet away and found similar conditions.
