Big Sky Ski Patrol

This pit was dug in Vuarnet 20 feet to the right of the Wave crown. 45 feet below the cornice. CPST full propagation Q! at 32.

Every layer contains crystals with straight lines. Yet, this snow is remarkably cohesive. Looks good for a wave pit. That said, it's the worst pit I've seen all year.

This pit was dug below 2nd transition to the right, close to the beard rope line.

Pit was dug in Dictator 2A at buttress level. There is faceting around all crust. Upper 2/3 of the snowpack is very strong. I love the gradient.

Pit was 60' above the 2-step.
