Ice hard crust on ground at select locations, not in this pit. HS at 7000' was 30 cm. 50cm at Ben Lomond Peak Snotel.

No facets noted adjacent to Nov 7th crust.

Dug to ground on a NW facing rollover on a gentle spur ridge where I had dug a snowpit around New Years and found it very difficult to isolate a column. Now it has at meter of dense snow on top. The depth hoar is still there but it's stubborn to collapse. I only did one ECT because of time constraints but I got the feeling that it would have propagated with more tests, but with fairly heavy blows. Low probability - high consequence type of snowpack.
