Gold Run Pass

Old/new interface (12/10 @75cm) produced SP fractures and inconsistent propagation. 12/10 was the culprit in recent small (D1.5) human triggered avalanches in the hwy 542 corridor on northerly aspects above 5500ft. 12/10 is rounding and gaining strength. 11/23 (@50cm) is moist, rounding, and not an issue.

Grouse Ridge

Feb 8 PWL - no recent avalanches failing on this layer in the terrain observed. Targeted this layer in snowpack tests in two other nearby locations as well (NE 5900ft and S 5400ft) and could not get it to propagate a fracture.
