Pit dug within ski area boundary in an area that has been controlled with explosives but has not received much skier compaction or boot packing.

Graupel layers at 70 cm and 89 cm up from ground. Stability tests failed at same layer as avalanche triggered by second skier crossing slope.

Nothing has changed in the snowpack. It seems like all of these layers have had time to adjust.
