Park City Ski Patrol

Pit located in Surprise area, adjacent to Snowbasin Ski Area boundary line. Terrain mitigated by ski patrol and skied a decent amount by the public. Ski tracks present on nearby slopes. No tracks visible on run above pit location. No obvious signs of old debris. Partially shaded by some scrubby trees. HS 200 cm. No stability tests performed.

SS-AKr-R4-D2.5-O 500' wide, estimated run 1,500', with average crown depth of 120cm.

While getting data to make a snow profile the cloud cover thinned and broke creating a intense period of greenhousing. Rime ice began shedding off of the Gardenwall and creating rollerball activity but no WL in the new snow.
