Empire Pass

Dug our pit slightly NW of 224 by Empire Pass. We experienced 20-28 mph sustained winds with gusts up to 50 mph from the W. We noted graupel within the top 3 cm and on the surface.

Ohm Zone Saddle

Lack of slab stiffness so far made stability tests pretty dull. However, in areas with similar structure with more recent wind loading had fairly widespread cracking and collapsing during ski travel.

Triangle Low Left

Area previously bootpacked x 2, wanted to see how the bootpacking has influenced the snow structure. Due to bootpacking, layers were difficult to identify as they varied across the pit.
