Big Sky Ski Patrol

This pit was dug on the left side of Lenin, where it did not slide. It was hard to get crystal types because of the wind. Snow structure still looks like crap, but the test scores make it seem stronger.

Average HS of 50 to 80 cms. Near a small old snow avalanche triggered by a 5# explosive suspended over the slope, 30 feet wide failing at the 28cm facets above the deteriorating ice crust.
