19' of snowfall for the MTD of December: 3' of fresh snow over the past 36 hrs. Assessing the Nov rain crust.

First pit of the year in Rockville. It looks and acts better than other places. i attribute this to different aspect.

Pit was dug in 1st Dictator extreme right edge below the Roller, where it hasn't slid. Too much spindrift to get crystals. it looked like the ice crusts were weakening, but can't be sure without seeing the crystals. i didn't get a CT score due to rock intrusion in the bottom of the snowpack.
