nice skiing in previously untracked snow, but generally soft snowpack seemed crumbly or faceted throughout, with very weak, cold snow now capped by warmer, snow. Triggered shooting cracks up to about 45' and remote soft wind slabs in cornice/deposition area in the saddle.

We stayed on modest angled south and east facing slopes around tree line and found generally stable snow and very nice powder conditions.

Overall this snowpack seemed very soft and less supportable than in other locations. 1 meter seems a bit shallow and it fellt like this would be a more likely place to trigger a large avalanche than in areas where the snowpack is harder and deeper.
