It also starting snowing hard as the next wave of the storm blew in. The new snow was cracking at the interface with the crust.
Widespread collapsing where the facets at the ground exist. Moving to SE aspects the existence of facets that were collapsing was more varied. Closer to 10k and ESE the facets were easy to find and were collapsing with greater frequency.
From 8k and up we experienced many collapses of varying sizes. The snowpack varied very little on E and SE aspects. The main difference was the existence of facets at the ground.
