rimed new snow with lots of graupel

This is SSE aspect. No facets in this snowpack. Similar snowpack about 100 feet away on SE aspect but slightly deeper snowdepth.

Crown profile of remotely triggered avalanche from Dec 7th. It now has about 12 cm of snow plus some wind drifting on top of the crown and bed surface. The avalanche broke on top of facets at 24 cm This path is a REPEATER which previously avalanched during the Thanksgiving week storms.

The goal was to look at mid elevation snow. Facets near the ground remain dry, weak, and a problem.
