Representative location in clearing in a place that is usually undisturbed. Probing with my ski pole handle, the same weak layer is quite widespread and consistent. I'm concerned about this layer as it consistently propagated with medium force.

Clear in the morning with increasing clouds and southerly winds ahead of a storm system tracking to the north. Spring conditions in full effect with all surfaces sun affected including low angle northerlies. Had planned to do an ECT but the slope collapsed while I was digging.

There were at least two natural avalanches on the same aspect and elevation. Two collapses at this pit location with a crack in the pit wall.

Quick look at low elevation snowpack. Incredibly weak. The issue is whether or not these lower elevations will get a load
