This is a very weak snow structure. I am concerned about the layers at 55-48 and 44-37. Add a slab on top and we will start seeing avalanches.

Upper Silver Fork, ECTX although there was an easy enough shovel shear on small grained facets below the crust @ 117cm from ground on old snow interface. Crust was friable. (GCS of 7). Stability was good, structure was poor. Cold caky snow with cold temperatures.

Three weeks of cold and dry conditions.

Ice hard crust on ground at select locations, not in this pit. HS at 7000' was 30 cm. HS at Ben Lomond Peak Snotel was 50cm (7700'). GCS of 8
