Rhino Bowl Crown

Avalanche was discovered 2022.12.04 in the late evening. 300' wide, 4-500' vertical distance. Crown face was 2-6' deep. Average 4'. Flanks tapered to 1' on either side. Pit dug in center of path skiers right of the deepest part of the crown face. Bed surface was a mostly brittle MF crust with small NSF above.

Soldier Fork

This pit was located in the crown of a remotely triggered slide at the head of Soldier Fork. HS-ASr-R4,D2-O, 200' wide, 800' vert, 3' deep. Hard slab over old faceted snow surface from November dry spell. Plenty of weak snow left in the bed surface.
