Moderate danger at higher elevations for wind slabs today. Small, but increasing size and probability likely. Snowing since the early hours of the morning, landing on a variety of surfaces: drifted accumulations from Friday, scoured crust, facets, etc. 4-8" forecasted for the day, with the 8-9000' temps in the teens (*F). Wind speed average 15mph, no transport in sheltered areas but minor loading on ridges was observed. Pit test: ECTx, but the shovel shear showed a weak area at 120cm from ground-- a non-cohesive slab on the crust from the late Oct. high pressure period.
