Upper elevation slopes were very wind damaged

nice skiing in previously untracked snow, but generally soft snowpack seemed crumbly or faceted throughout, with very weak, cold snow now capped by warmer, snow. Triggered shooting cracks up to about 45' and remote soft wind slabs in cornice/deposition area in the saddle.

We stayed on modest angled south and east facing slopes around tree line and found generally stable snow and very nice powder conditions.
