On slope next to the Tony Grove Road

Cornice triggered avalanche. This path has avalanched previously. We could not see a stauchwall. Just grass and rocks all the way to flat ground.

Looking at the snow remaining in paths that previously avalanched. This one was triggered on Jan 18th.

Deep strong snowpack. Weakening at snow surface. Surface hoar noted in many places. Surface hoar is usually destroyed but the weather that forms it, also tends to form nsf's.
