Noted isolated cracking reactive to skis on SE facing slopes on the approach. Observed touchy dry loose naturals in the top layer of the new snow on N and NW facing aspects in Holy Moly and the Cliffs NE facing Cardiff Peak

no collapsing/cracking despite ~1" water in the new snow. Main concern was brief moments of sunshine making the new snow damp. Old fc's are still there but capped by such hard layers that it seems very unlikey to trigger a slide on them.

Lt Superior Buttress

Deep HS in a favored snow location. 40cm of settled storm snow on top of brown old snow surface crust. Slightly inverted about 30cm down from surface where a period of lower density snow rest below more wind-blown snow and graupel. Storm snow instabilities are settling out fast.
