Snowpack continues to facet

Surface faceting was pronounced on all northerly facing slopes from 5600' to 9600'. Rated the pit a GCS of 8. Dry loose snow sloughing in the faceted snow surface. Skier triggered loose dry on facets 4" deep on N facing nearby Sox's.

HS above 10,000 varied from 40cm to over 200cm depending on wind loading. Scored a GCS of 8.

Pit was dug near the crown of a previous avalanche that occurred on Nov.9. Deep, Strong early season snowpack.
