Snowing and blowing. New snow instabilities were the main concern.

Skies obscured, cleared throughout the day. Light winds at pit location, but consistent W wind at higher elevations.

Pit in Middle Basin was HS 175 and ECTN18 on NSF/MFCx 40cm down. ECTP in this pit was a surprise and not on a clear visible interface. Weak layer looked like decomposing/framented. Maybe under old wind slab. Skied steep, but conservative terrain lower on slope.

Deep and stable snowpack despite 3" of SWE the previous 5 days.

The SH layer isn't widespread, but can be found on sheltered slopes. It still holds the potential to produce avalanches. CPST 30/100 end @ 122 cm's

Upper 4" of storm slab very reactive to ski cuts on rollovers, especially where there is slight wind effect. Ski triggered D1 storm slabs. Otherwise good stability in this pit. Possible previous skier track/traffic down 40-60cm.
