Pit after this at 8,100' was 110cm HS. A layer of graupel at 65-70cm, and above the rain crust had ECTN14, CT16 Q2.

This avalanche killed a solo skier late morning today. SS-ASu-R3-D2-I

Dug with Chabot. ECT was False unstable as far as I can tell.

Deep and stable snowpack for the west side of the Bridgers.

Winds were loading slopes on all aspects and elevations. Our pit location was a little sheltered so there wasn't much loading in this specific spot. We observed naturals and shooting cracks on heavier wind loaded slopes. CPST 98/100 end @ 318

6in. new snow this morning. Stopped snowing 30-45 minutes before pit. Wind increasing to strong.

Natural and artificial triggered avalanches observed on slopes with similar snow structure, but were on slopes steeper than 35deg. and many broke along the steep base of cliffs.
