Daisy Pass

Pit dug on a road across a steep hillside which was drifted over. Slope is flat, but snow surface is 22degrees. Snow depth varied from 120-250cm over about 5m. ECTP12 was in shallower area, and snowpack was much stronger as we dug into the deeper part of the drifted slope (ECTX). Profile was taken in an average depth of where our tests were performed. ECTP12 broke in a layer that was softer and more faceted where it was shallower.
