Winds have shifted and loaded many different aspects This is a very good representation of the poor snowpack structure we have throughout the forecast area

Early season conditions with shallow snow pack around Lost Trail Pass. Pass has only received a couple dusting's since storm Nov 27th/28th. Various aspects near the summit ranged between just 40-75cms. A reactive weak layer was found on shaded aspects about 30cm from top of snow pack. Also, a fair amount of sugary depth hoar near the ground are something to watch out for once a load arrives ... but this weeks' forecast for high pressure/ cold nights may make problem worse.
