Flathead Avalanche Center

The pit was dug in a wind-sheltered area on the leeward side of a terrain feature. Wanted to evaluate reactive PWLs in the upper snowpack and at the ground without a wind-stiffened surface slab. 12/27 Dust layer visible between 80 and 75 cm.
