Mt Shasta Avalanche Center - Shasta/Trinity Nat'l Forest

Wind affected above treeline. Widespread sun crust of varying thickness on many aspects. Skiing not that great, funky, variable, breakable crust, some softer powder in areas. A few thin weak layers in top 43cm, but not of serious concern at this point and with mostly sun in the forecast, I don't suspect any weak layers to linger. Total height of snow at pit location - 130cm. Bottom 87cm rock solid.
