Pit dug in ski area boundaries in an area that has not been skied or that has had any avalanche control work performed. We dug the pit after boot packing the start zones of the terrain we were in. Hennigh/Roetman

Representative of the central starting zone in the glide path, the rock bands were not holding old snow. Glide starting zone was boot-packed after this pit was dug.
