Snowpit location was in a relatively wind sheltered area. Above the snowpit location, much of the east facing terrain was significantly wind affected/ 1F snow/ from the recent storm and not optimal for skiing. It seemed like all other aspects around the Mt. Henderson area (S, W and N) had less surface wind affect. No avalanche activity observed.

We experienced 3 significant collapses- all 10m in diameter or larger, and the group of friends we met up with reported another 5 other significant collapses. These collapses were during repeatedly recycling the same skin track. On a nearby NE aspect around 9100' (on Miller Ridge )we were finding a HS 70-80cms, and also had one significant collapse there too. No avalanche activity to report. Minimal wind effect of new snow, great early season skiing on certain slopes above 9k'.

Wind effect from Nov. 23-26 was widespread. Two inches of new snow from Nov. 26/27 has camouflaged most of this wind drifting. Some drifts are sensitive, and we experienced some localized collapsing and shooting cracks.
