While the old snow surface from October is identified as the problem layer, the snowfall from the beginning of November is bonding well to the old snow surface at this location.

Snowpack was isothermal below the crust. The recent snow down to the crust contained 1.75 inches (44.5 mm) of water. The old snow, which included the crust and isothermal snow to the ground, contained 2.05 inches (52 mm) of water.
