This was a quick pit, estimated the profile from memory. Biggest surprise was the bottom layer of depth hoar still present after days of above freezing temps. The 10cm ice crust above it is likely holding the snowpack in place. Upper part of the snowpack was consolidated, with a couple thin ice layers.
