Dug 2 pits at different locations to examine the basal facets in this area of Relay Peak. The facets were slightly more advanced at the higher elevation but were still not reactive to snowpack tests that show propagation.

Dug 2 snowprofiles in this area at different elevations to examine the basal facets. At this elevation, the facets were moist and rounding and were not reactive to snowpack tests.

Evidence of rain up to and over 9000' during the recent 11/15-11/16 storm system. Snowpit dug just below summit pinnacle near treeline.

Test pit (layering not precise)done at crown line from skier triggered avalanche that occurred on Thursday 11/16. Approximately 45cm of new snow fell after the avalanche occurred.

Looked at NW aspect to see development of basal facets. Snowpack tests and informal observations showed that this layer was not reactive on this aspect and elevation.
