Pit dug in open below treeline terrain, on low angle lead in slope to below treeline avalanche path with vegetative history/trim line. No evidence of Dec 4 surface hoar or a shear at its likely location in this pit.

Surprised to find the SH layer at 84cm - has not been an issue regionally.

Snowpit in near treeline terrain just off of ridge. No 12/4 surface hoar found at this location.

Little to no signs of wind loading in this area today. Artificially loaded 10cm PST Very Easy @86cm Artificially loaded 10cm PST 17/100 End @ 78cm

Pit dug in open below treeline terrain. 12/4 SH layer when loaded with 10cm artificial slab failed PST 9/100 end @ 119 cm.
