Pit dug in near treeline terrain. Interesting PST results that did not match expected after performing CT and ECT. Cracking in the area was very minor and localized, extending no more than 15 cm from skis.

Castle Peak

Pit dug just off ridgeline in a wind loaded area. 1 whumpf experienced later during tour in upper elevation terrain with a hard wind slab/faceted layer combo.

Woods Lake

Test pit dug in near treeline terrain to monitor faceting in upper snowpack. Whumpfing and collapsing observed at 3 different locations. Unstable areas were isolated throughout the terrain, no intentional avalanches could be triggered on test slopes with the facet layer/slab combo.
